Listen up, folks, because this ain’t gossip, this ain’t rumors, and this sure as hell ain’t something you just scroll past like it’s a meme.
A 30-year-old mother, Eliza Morales, five months pregnant, lost her life in the most brutal way imaginable — stabbed more than 70 times — after what was supposed to be a plain-Jane Facebook Marketplace deal. Yeah, you read that right. A truck sale.
Here’s how this mess went down.
Eliza’s family had a 1994 Ford Ranger listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. A 19-year-old punk named Nedas Revuckas showed interest. Papers were being handled, keys exchanged — all the normal stuff folks do every day without expecting to end up dead.
But prosecutors say the suspect got fired up over the condition of the truck. Instead of acting like a grown human being, he allegedly turned into a full-blown monster.
Authorities say Eliza was attacked inside her apartment. Seventy stab wounds. Not one. Not ten. Seventy. During the struggle, she reportedly begged for her life and told him she was pregnant. Didn’t matter. He kept going.
And if that wasn’t vile enough, investigators say the suspect stabbed the family dog, then set the apartment on fire, like some kind of horror movie villain trying to erase the evidence.
Let that sink in.
A pregnant mother murdered. An unborn child lost. A home burned. A toddler left without a mom. All because somebody couldn’t handle a disagreement like a civilized adult.
The suspect now faces a laundry list of serious charges:
-
First-degree murder
-
Intentional homicide of an unborn child
-
Armed robbery
-
Aggravated arson
-
Aggravated animal cruelty
A judge took one look at this nightmare and said, “Nope.” The suspect is being held without bond, where he belongs.
Family and community members have held vigils, trying to wrap their heads around something that flat-out doesn’t make sense. And honestly? There ain’t much to understand here.
This wasn’t an “accident.”
This wasn’t “self-defense.”
This was rage, violence, and evil unleashed over a used truck.
So here’s the hillbilly truth of it: If you can’t handle a bad deal without turning into a killer, you don’t belong in society. Period.
Our hearts go out to Eliza’s family, her child, and everyone hurting because of this senseless act. Justice won’t bring her back — but it damn sure better be loud, firm, and final.
TVOTT Hillbilly News will keep watching this case closely. We don’t forget victims. And we don’t stay quiet when something this wrong happens.
